About Me

I am 39 years old, originally from King's Lynn, Norfolk now living in Wirral, Merseyside. I have clocked up a good few years programming on various different platforms.

I cut my teeth on a Sinclair Spectrum back in the 80s, fiddling with BASIC. From there I went onto AMOS on the Commodore Amiga. I started Delphi development at college in 1996, to this day I continue to use ObjectPascal for all my desktop applications. In the early 2000s I started dabbling with PHP and MySQL, and since 2003 I have worked professionally with PHP, C++ and Delphi.

Aside from programming, I also have a keen interest in Linux, FreeBSD and the entire concept of free software. As you may have imagined I also have a good working knowledge of servers and server software, if this website is ever down I'm probably reformatting the server or upgrading Apache!
